Join us in the lower level of the library for a Storytime dedicated to our youngest patrons and their caregivers. Meet other new parents/caregivers just like you!

During Lap Sit Storytime, Mrs. C will lead the group in rhymes, songs, and a short story for you and your child to interact together.

This Storytime is designed to be one on one and developmentally appropriate for children 9 months until 3. If your child is 3 or above, please join us at 11 am Thursday mornings for family Storytime.

Meditation & QiGong for Beginners

QIGONG is an ancient Chinese healing art involving meditation, controlled breathing, and movement exercises.

This will be a beginner's class.

Understand & learn basic meditation techniques
Understand & learn basic QiGong techniques
Learn basic QiGong (8 Section Brocade) movements.

Our instructor Kevin Kuo's teaching has been approved by the California acupuncture board. Kevin has also been invited by a well-established Chinese medicine school (Whitewater University) in California to give 1 day lecture about qigong and meditation.

Storytime with Ginnie's House: Teach Your Dragon Body Safety

Ginnie’s House Prevention & Education Coordinator will be reading Teach Your Dragon Body Safety by Steve Herman to start a conversation on the importance of body safety. Followed by an activity that will help promote Body Safety, a key component in child abuse prevention!

Open for children in Kindergarten - 3rd grade (siblings are welcome too!) Please register all children attending by using the group feature.

Join Mrs. C for an interactive play session for ages 2-5. Each week we will explore materials such as playdough, finger-paint, slime, water play, and many more. The session is intended for interaction between the child and their caregiver. We may get messy, so dress appropriately.

Due to the popularity of this program, we are now offering two sessions of the same program; 10 am and 10:45 am. When registering, please select one session. Registration for both sessions will result in cancellation. If this session is full, please register for 10:45 am.

A valid library card is required for this class. Please register each child individually. You may use the same card number for each child.

This class is for people who want to improve their ability to interact in French.

This is a hybrid class with in person participants and is available via ZOOM.
